Description

The GEL-NYC™ 2.0 sneaker sources inspiration from heritage and modern performance running styles.

Its upper construction references the GEL-1050™ sneaker from the year 2000. The materials are also updated with a gradient application and reflective details for prominent contrast when light flashes across it in dark settings.

The newly designed tooling references the GEL-1050™ sneaker, as well as the GEL-LYTE™ DS II shoe outsole influences for lifestyle purposes. Through a combination of TRUSSTIC® support units, GEL® technology inserts, and FF BLAST™ PLUS cushioning, this midsole formation creates a lighter and more comfortable feel than the first version.

Materials & Technology

Upper is inspired by the GEL-1050™ shoes.
Gradient overlays and unique mesh.
Reflective details in the forefoot, lace holder, heel TPU, and GEL® technology logo.
Rearfoot and forefoot GEL® technology
Shock-attenuating material placed in the midsole of the shoe for cushioning and shock absorption.
FF BLAST™ PLUS cushioning
This foam from our running collection has been re-tuned for everyday purposes. It's softer, bouncier, and lighter than standard cushioning materials.
TRUSSTIC® support system
Helps to improve stability.
AHAR™ technology
ASICS® high abrasion resistant rubber is placed in critical areas of the outsole to help increase durability.
Walking-specific flex grooves to support natural movement.
Smooth heel to toe transition
Angled heel softens heel contact with the ground and facilitates more natural heel to toe transitions.

How to measure: Stand on a sheet of paper with your heel against a wall, then measure from the heel to the tip of your longest toe. Measure in the afternoon when feet are slightly larger, and use the longer foot. Match the CM column to find your size.
